Go 1/2 mile south of Ovid on CR 29.
HUNTING: Deer, small game, turkey, dove, waterfowl, pheasant, bobwhite quail
RECREATION: Wildlife observation, hiking
RESTRICTIONS:

  • No camping or fires allowed.
  • Target practice allowed only if authorized by area wildlife manager.
  • Discharging firearms or bows not allowed unless engaged in hunting.
  • Cloed to all uses except deer hunting on opening weekend of regular rifle deer season and on opening day and first weekend of late rifle deer season.
  • No horses allowed except when used in training hunting dogs and then only in February, March, April (through the Wednesday before spring turkey season opens), and August.

Jumbo Reservoir

From exit 155 on the I-76, go 3 miles north to Highway 138, then 1 mile northeast to CR 95, then 2 miles north on CR 95.

FACILITIES: Boat ramp, rest rooms
RESTRICTIONS:

  • Minimum size limit for walleye and saugeye is 15". Only 1 walleye or saugeye in the agregate longer than 21" is allowed per day.
  • Minimum size for wipers is 15".
  • Minimum size for crappies is 10".
  • Except hand propelled watercraft used to set and pick up decoys and to retrieve downed waterfowl, boating is prohibited October 1 through last day of regular goose season.
  • Fishing restricted to 2 south dams and bank around outlet tower. Ice fishing restricted to within 50 yards of 2 south dams or 50 yards of outlet tower October 1 to last day of waterfowl season.
  • No boats allowed within 50 feet of outlet structure.
  • No hunting on the ice.
  • Vehicles limited to 250.
  • On Memorial Day weekend, waterskiing prohibited before 10 AM and after 7 PM.
  • No hunting from floating devices.

Pony Express

From exit #180 on the I-76, go 0.1 miles north on Highway 385 to CR 28, then go 1.5 miles west on CR 28 to service road, then go 0.1 miles north to parking area.

RESTRICTIONS:

  • No fires or camping allowed.
  • No target practice allowed unless authorized by area wildlife manager.
  • No discharging firearms or bows allowed unless engaged in hunting.
  • Closed to all other uses except deer hunting on the opening weekend of regular plains rifle deer season and on opening day and first weekend of late plains rifle deer season.
  • Horses allowed only when training hunting dogs and then only in February, March, April (through Wednesday before spring turkey season opens), and August.
  • Closed to goose hunting except light goose hunting allowed during special control seasons and conservation orders.

From exit #180 on the I-76, go 8 miles south on Highway 385 to CR 16, turn and go east to CR 49, then go 1 mile south to property.
