Durango Mountain Resort has 2 terrain parks: Paradise Freestyle Arena and the Pitchfork Terrain Garden. Pitchfork is rated beginner to expert with 6 rails, a fun box, 5 hits and a halfpipe. Paradise is about 1/2 mile long and drops 600 feet. With longer rails, bigger jumps and a 450' halfpipe with 15' walls, Paradise is rated intermediate to expert. A lot of families enjoy the separate Snowcoaster Tubing Hill.

With high peaks on 3 sides and high desert to the south, Durango (also known as "Purgatory") has become a four-season resort. There is a full range of lodging options at Durango Mountain Resort: everything from slopeside deluxe king rooms and suites with panoramic views to remote studio condos and luxury mountain homes. The Lodge at Tamarron is 10 miles south, Cascade Village 2 miles north and Black Bear Townhomes right across US 550 from the resort entrance.

Snowmobiling, snowcat skiing and cross-country skiing are also available at Durango Mountain Resort. The base area features ski and snowboard retail and rental shops and several excellent restaurants, in addition to many condos, resort rooms and vacation home rentals. There is a shuttle service that runs regularly between downtown Durango and Durango Mountain Resort.
