Foxfield, Colorado

Joe and Bill Davidson were brothers who owned much of the acreage in the Foxfield area. Starting in 1965, their heirs began selling off the ranching and farm land to developers. The first subdivision in the area was Arcadian Acres, built in what is now the northwest corner of Foxfield against Arapahoe Road. Prior to Arcadian Acres, Arapahoe Road in this area was known as Davidson Road. Arcadian Acres was a successful subdivision in that the properties sold well and the real estate action attracted other developers who slowly bought up and built on most of the former Davidson property. But as you can see from the photos on this page, Foxfield is still a beautiful, mostly rural area on the southeastern outskirts of the Denver Metroplex.
