Here are links to most of the ski and snowboard resorts, mountains, areas, hills, etc. in New Mexico. There's everything from the glitz and glitter of Santa Fe Ski Basin, Taos Ski Valley, and Red River etc. to Snow Canyon (a Cloudcroft city project) to the Enchanted Forest (purely cross-country) and Valles Caldera (Valles Caldera National Preserve back-country Nordic skiing - reservations required). But the names on the list below, some of them define what big mountain skiing is all about. Santa Fe, Taos Ski Valley and Red River, these names are recognized around the world, and rightly so. For all the glitz, glamour and glitter, they've earned their reputations the hard way: great snow, great mountains, great parties... The ski areas that I've got data (and usually trail maps) in place for are listed in blue below: |
