Hot Springs County is in north central Wyoming. Hot Springs County is home to the world's largest mineral hot springs and part of the Shoshone National Forest. Organized in 1911, Hot Springs County contains 2,004 square miles of land and 2 square miles of water. The county seat is Thermopolis. Hot Springs State Park is here, as is the northern end of the Wind River Canyon Scenic Byway.
