  • No camping or fires allowed.
  • Only shotguns or bows allowed for hunting.

South Republican

Go 21 miles north of Burlington on US 385 to CR 1, then go 3 miles east, 2 miles north and then 2 miles further east.
ACRES: 13,140
HUNTING: Deer, small game, pheasant, turkey, dove, bobwhite quail, snipe, waterfowl
FISHING: Warmwater lake
RECREATION: Power boating, sailboating, windsurfing, waterskiing, camping, wildlife observation, interpretive program.
FACILITIES: Drinking water, rest rooms, dump station, campsites, picnic area with barbecue pits, boat ramps.
RESTRICTIONS:

  • Field trials may be authorized during February, March, August, and September only.
  • No waterfowl hunting allowed on downstream face of dam.
  • Waterfowl hunting prohibited as posted.
  • Park only in designated areas for waterfowl hunting.

Stalker Lake

Go 2 miles west of Wray on Highway 34 to CR FF, then go 1.5 miles north to access road, then 1/2 mile west to property.

HUNTING: Bobwhite quail, pheasant, dove, waterfowl
FISHING: Coldwater lake, warmwater lake
RECREATION: Hiking, picnicking, wildlife observation
FACILITIES: Picnic shelters, tables, playground, rest rooms, boat ramp
RESTRICTIONS:

  • Minimum size for smallmouth and largemouth bass is 15".
  • Only boating allowed is float tubes and watercraft propelled by hand, wind or electric motor.
  • No camping or fires allowed.
  • Only shotgun and bow hunting allowed.
  • No discharging firearms or bows allowed unless hunting.
  • No target practice allowed unless authorized by area wildlife manager.
