Go 2 miles southwest of New Castle on CR 312 to Garfield Creek Road, turn and go 1 mile south.

OPEN: July 16 to November 30, except for spring turkey hunting below and small game hunting above intersection of CR's 312 and 328.
HUNTING: Elk, deer, blue grouse
RECREATION: Wildlife observation
RESTRICTIONS: No camping except 7 days before start of regular big game seasons through 7 days after end of big game hunting seasons; no hunting allowed within 75 yards of the centerlines of CR's 312 and 328; No hunting in designated safety zone as posted; Dogs allowed only as hunting aid; No bicycles off CR's 312 and 328.

Several units, all along Piceance Creek Road and reached from Meeker.

Go south from Glenwood Springs on Highway 82, turn right at mile marker 5 on CR 154.

West Rifle Creek

Go north of Rifle for 4 miles on Highway 13 to Highway 325, turn right and go 6 miles to CR 252. Turn onto CR 252 and go 1 mile northwest.
HUNTING: Elk, deer, black bear, mountain lion, small game, turkey, dove, bobcat.
RECREATION: Wildife observation, hiking
FACILITIES: Drinking water, rest rooms
RESTRICTIONS: No camping except from the day after Labor Day to December 31.

State Fish Units

Crystal River

Go 1 mile south of Carbondale on Highway 33.
