Disappointment Creek

Go 2 miles west of Dove Creek to US 666 and 141. Go north on Highway 141 for 27 miles to Disappointment Valley, then south on CR 19Q (Forest Service Road 250) for 18 miles to McKinney Draw Road on BLM land. From there it's another 1/4 mile south to the north end of the property. Entrance is 1/4 mile south of CR 19Q via two-track road on BLM land in Dawson Draw.

HUNTING: Elk, deer, small game
RESTRICTIONS: No motor vehicles off designated roads.

Fish Creek

Go 12 miles north of Dolores on Highway 145 to USFS Road 535, then turn and go 12 miles north to Fish Creek access road, then go another 1.5 miles north.
ACRES: 314
HUNTING: Elk, deer, small game, blue grouse
FISHING: Coldwater stream
RECREATION: Wildlife observation, hiking
RESTRICTIONS: No camping allowed except during deer and elk seasons.

Groundhog Reservoir

Go 25 miles north of Dolores on USFS Road 526 to USFS Road 533, then turn and go 5 miles northeast.
FISHING: Coldwater lake
RECREATION: Wildlife observation
FACILITIES: Boat ramp, rest rooms
RESTRICTIONS: No camping allowed; From April 15 to July 15 no fishing in Nash Creek and Groundhog Creek inlets upstream for 1/2 mile; No boating that creates a whitewater wake.

Jim Olterman/Lone Cone

Go 1.5 miles east of Norwood on Highway 145 to USFS Road 610, then turn and go south 24 miles.

HUNTING: Elk, deer, black bear, blue grouse
FISHING: Coldwater stream
RECREATION: Picnicking, camping, wildlife observation
FACILITIES: Campsites, domestic well water, two-horse corrals
RESTRICTIONS: No snowmobiles allowed

Go 21 miles north of Cortez on Highway 491 to CR DD, then go 1 mile east to CR 16, then 3 miles north to access road, then 1.5 miles east to Bradfield Bridge.

RECREATION: Wildlife observation, camping, picnicking
