12 miles up Big Cottonwood Canyon, Solitude Mountain Resort is far from the crowds at other resorts. Solitude used to be a locals-only day ski area but, after 50 years of great skiing, the base area has become a charming, European-style pedestrian village with a first-class Bavarian style hotel and numerous 1-3 bedroom condos scattered around. This resort is designed to pamper and relax, with ski in/out convenience, an attentive staff, an on-site spa and several gourmet restaurants. |
