Here are links to most of the ski and snowboard resorts, mountains, areas, hills, etc. in Colorado, New Mexico, Wyoming, Montana, Idaho, Arizona, Nevada, and Utah. There's everything from the glitz and glitter of Aspen, Vail, Breckenridge, Copper Mountain, Whitefish, Big Sky, Snowbird, Brian Head, etc. to Howelsen Hill (a Steamboat Springs city park) to the Enchanted Forest, Rendezvous Ski Trails (purely cross-country) and Valles Caldera (Valles Caldera National Preserve back-country Nordic skiing - reservations required). But the names on the list below, some of them define what big mountain skiing is all about. Schweitzer, Vail, Keystone, Breckenridge, Copper Mountain, Whitefish, Crested Butte, Steamboat Springs, Snowmass, Telluride, Santa Fe, Wolf Creek, Alta, Snowbird, The Canyons, Deer Valley, these names are recognized around the world, and rightly so. For all the glitz, glamour and glitter, they've earned their reputations the hard way: great snow, great mountains, great parties... The ski areas that I've got data (and usually trail maps) in place for are listed in blue below: |
