Walsenburg Municipal Golf Course is 9 holes, 3,110 yards, par 36, with great views of the Spanish Peaks and the Sangre de Cristo Mountains. The golf course is located about 4 miles west of Walsenburg on US 160. The golf club shares the entrance with Lathrop State Park. The Pro Shop has the usual amenities, including numerous golf carts. The restaurant is a full service restaurant serving breakfast, lunch and dinner. The club house is at the high point of the property, #3 being at the lower end. The slope in between is long and gradual. There was a plan put forth by the developer of some property just east of the golf course to add 9 more holes, but that plan seems to be on hold right now. |
