This trail is great for hikers but you'll want to be rated expert if you're in here on a mountain bike or a snowmobile. Access is from State Road 578 in Upper Red River Canyon, about 4 miles up from the Eagle Nest turnoff. The road is signed and connects with another trail from Red River Pass.
This trail is mostly used in winter and early spring by snowmobiles, and in summer and fall by hikers, mountain bikers and folks on horseback. USGS Quads: Latir Peak, Comanche Point |
