Diamond Peak Ski Resort is part of the Incline Village development of Art Wood. Opened for business on the lower mountain in 1966 as Ski Incline, the resort was expanded in 1987 to include the upper mountain, and an incredible view over Lake Tahoe to the west. Because this addition brought in so many mostly advanced runs, the Resort was renamed Diamond Peak at Ski Incline. Over the years the "Ski Incline" part was dropped and we now have simply Diamond Peak... The ski resort features a full-facility base lodge with a repair shop, equipment rentals, child care center, sport shop, and ski and snowboard school. There are also several excellent family-friendly terrain parks on the mountain, and the mid-mountain Snowflake Lodge. Diamond Peak Ski Resort is 35 miles from Reno International Airport, on the northeastern side of Lake Tahoe. |
