The Centennial Bicycle Trail is about 8.2 miles of paved, easy going. Part of the trail is handicapped accessible. Hikers, bikers and cross-country skiers use this trail a lot in summer, fall and winter, but motorized vehicles are prohibited.
Access: 2 trailheads, one at the Manitou Lake Picnic Grounds, the other at South Meadows Campground, about 6 miles north of US 24 at Woodland Park on State Highway 67. Notes: This is a paved trail that parallels Highway 67 and offers some great views over the Manitou Park area. Camping is available at Painted Rocks, Colorado and South Meadows campgrounds. The Manitou Lake Picnic Grounds has drinking water in the summer, with toilets, 42 picnic sites and a small fishing lake. USGS Maps: Mt. Deception |
