Pike National Forest

This 1.7 mile long trail is rated as moderately difficult and sees traffic in spring, summer and fall.
Access: From Como go northwest of US 285 on County Road 50 to the summit of Boreas Pass. The trail begins at the section house at the summit of the pass and follows the dirt track northeast. Notes: The trail follows a dirt track through a stream drainage to a saddle on the ridge between Boreas Mountain to the south and Bald Mountain to the north. Once at the saddle, you can turn south and hike to the summit of Boreas Mountain (13,082') or turn north and hike to the summit of Bald Mountain (13,684'). USGS Maps: Boreas Pass |
