Gunnison National Forest

While I am sure that this trail list should be long, I have yet to find any resources for it that go into any detail at all. The National Forest Service and Bureau of Land Management claim to have been working on a travel management plan for the Gunnison Basin area for several years now, but I haven't found any results of that effort available to the public yet. As far as the official GMUG website goes, there's a bit of data for Grand Mesa National Forest but almost nothing in terms of trails for the Gunnison or the Uncompahgre National Forests. And I have maps in hand that go back 15 years but there's nothing on them except lines on the paper with trail numbers beside them, nothing about length, difficulty, maintenance, etc. But apparently, there's several years of hiking available if I want to go and do it all myself... now there's a thought, huh?
