The Killpecker Trail is about 4.2 miles long (one way) and is rated as More Difficult.
Trailhead Location: From Fort Collins take Highway 287, 21 miles north to Livermore. At Livermore turn left onto Redfeather Lakes Road and travel west about 31 miles (the road becomes gravel just past Redfeather Lakes). The trailhead is on the south side of road right across from the North Fork of the Poudre River Campground. The trail ascends from Deadman Road to the Bald Mountain Jeep Trail on Middle Bald Mountain. As it is very easy to lose the trail in the logged-over area, just follow the Forest Service markers. |
