All the footpaths and game trails make this a pretty undefined trail, but the area to explore sees light use from spring to fall and all "trails" are rated as easy to moderate. This being a wildlife area, no motorized vehicles are allowed beyond the parking areas. Elevation: 7,600' to 7,800' This wildlife area west of Bear Canyon Lake is bordered on the west by Turkey Creek and on the east by Beaver Canyon. Even though Forest Road 92 drives right through the middle of the area, it is closed to all vehicle use. This is a place to come to get away from the crowds and the cars. Dispersed camping is recommended. Access: Parking is available at both ends of the wildlife area where Forest Road 92 meets with Forest Roads 89 and 300. USGS Maps: Knoll Lake |
