Shelf Road Part 1

I'd heard about Window Rock before and seen a couple of photos but none of that prepared me for what it really is: a large opening in an impressive granite wall. The scale of it was a fair bit larger than I expected, as was the thickness of the granite wall. This photo was taken from the first place to the north of it where I could see the full formation. Notice there's lots of trees in the creek bed area but not so much up the hill.
