Rifle Gap State Park is centered around a long, narrow, 350-surface-acre reservoir that offers some of the finest fishing, boating, swimming, windsurfing and water skiing in Colorado. Fishermen find lots of walleye, pike, smallmouth bass, largemouth bass, yellow perch, rainbow trout and German brown trout in the lake. The swimming beach is a popular spot on the west side of the lake. There are several picnic areas and 89 campsites available at Rifle Gap State Park.

The daily vehicle park pass costs $7, or you can buy the annual Colorado State Parks pass for $70. Basic campsites rent for $16 per day, electrified campsites for $20 per day and full hook-ups cost $24 per day. You can rent the Conference Room in the Visitor Center for $100 per day. The group picnic facility costs $100 per day and sees a lot of use for weddings, meetings and family reunions. Call 970-625-1607 for information and to make reservations.
