Look: a BLM pit toilet and rest area out here in the heart of this almost wilderness. Actually, I passed a couple of these things back down the hill behind me and miles before but this is the first one that made its way into one of my photos (what was I thinking when I took this one?) Oh, I know: look at how lush the meadow is (great grass, good wildflowers, there must be some water close to the surface). And look at the tree cover: I see spruce, bristlecone (the branches look like bottle brushes), aspen, Ponderosa, lodgepole... and this area looks like it could support some big game. |
