This difficult, 7.3 mile trail drops down to the east from the center of the Wet Mountains. Most folks who hike this trail do it in the summer and fall.
Access: The upper South Creek Trailhead is on State Highway 165 in the Lion Park area. The lower trailhead is off of State Highway 78 in Pueblo Mountain Park. Notes: This is a difficult hike in beautiful country. The trail parallels South Creek as the creek drops down from the top of the Wet Mountains east of St. Charles Peak. USGS Maps: St. Charles Peak |
