This easy, 11.6 mile loop trail works its way around the shoreline of Rampart Reservoir. Traffic can be heavy at times and the trail is open year-round (if you can get here in the winter - FR 306 to Rampart Reservoir from Rampart Range Road is gated).
Access: Go north out of Woodland Park on the Rampart Range Road. Follow the signs to the reservoir. Notes: Motorized vehicles are prohibited on this trail but you'll come across hikers, horseback riders, mountain bikers and cross-country skiers out here. The trail is most used by picnickers and fishermen. USGS Maps: Woodland Park, Cascade |
