This 3 mile trail is rated as moderately difficult and it sees traffic all year round.
Access: This trail is in the eastern foothills of the Buffalo Peaks. The north trailhead is on FR 433 (Pony Park Road), the south trailhead on FR 435 (Salt Creek Road). Both trailheads are about 3 miles west of US 285, west of Antero Reservoir. Notes: This is a nice day hike, or a good bike connector between the Buena Vista area to the south and the extensive trail network around Breckenridge to the north. USGS Maps: Marmot Peak |
