This is an easy 1.5 mile loop trail that sees most use in the summer and fall.
Access: In Jefferson, turn west off of US 285 and go 8 miles to Jefferson Lake. Notes: This trail circles Jefferson Lake giving fishermen good access to all the rainbows stocked here by the CDOW. The lake also offers quite a few picnic spots with tables and restrooms but no camping is allowed close to the lake itself. Surrounded by scenic mountains, this picturesque area is very popular.
