The Mount Margaret Trail is an easy trail about 4 miles long (one way).
Trailhead Location: From Fort Collins take Highway 287 north 21 miles to Livermore. Turn left onto Redfeather Lakes Road and travel 20 miles. The trailhead is on the right. This trail can also be accessed from the Dowdy Lake Campground. It is popular with hikers and mountain bikers alike. The elevation of Mt. Margaret is 7,957 feet. The last part of the trail is marked with cairns. |
