Blue Lake Trail is about 6.2 miles long (one way), sees heavy use and is rated as More Difficult.
Trailhead Location: From Fort Collins, go 10 miles north on Highway 287, then turn west onto Highway 14 and go about 54 miles. The trailhead is on the right side of the road. This trail leads into the Rawah Wilderness. The trail follows the Fall Creek drainage to Blue Lake. The Blue Lake area affords panoramic views of the Mummy Range and Rocky Mountain National Park. This trail is closed to stock use. There is no camping allowed within 1/4 mile of Blue Lake. |
