Oro Valley is located just beyond the northern boundaries of Tucson, east of the I-10, in the western foothills of the Santa Catalina Mountains at the foot of Pusch Ridge. With more than 10 high tech companies calling Oro Valley home, this area has been classed as "the Upscale Tech Mecca of southern Arizona" by the Arizona Daily Star. Oro Valley has garnered a number of accolades over the years as one of the best places to live, one of the top ten towns for families, one of the top 100 places to launch a business, one of the ten most playful towns in America, one of America's top-rated smaller cities, etc. One criteria included in getting all of these ratings is the high quality of Oro Valley's schools and medical facilities.
