Access: The turn into Strayhorse Campground is 26 miles south of Alpine on US 191. Elevation: 7,780' Season generally runs from April through November, depending on the snow depth. Strayhorse Campground is set among Gambel oaks and large Ponderosa pines about 6 miles below the Mogollon Rim. Two trails start here: Highline Trail #47 follows the lower edge of the Mogollon Rim and Raspberry Trail #35 heads into the Blue Range Primitive Area. Facilities:
