Mogollon Campground

Access: This developed campground on the Mogollon Rim is located about 4 miles north of State Highway 260 towards Woods Canyon Lake on Forest Road 300. The turn onto Forest Road 300 is directly across the highway from the Rim Visitor Information Station, about 25 miles west of Heber-Overgaard, Arizona.

Elevation: 7,515'

Season generally runs from the first of May to the end of October, sometimes earlier, sometimes later, depending on the weather.

The Mogollon Campground is located among the Ponderosa pines and Douglas firs, about 1/2 mile from the Rim Lakes Vista Trail, which provides spectacular views of the Mogollon Rim. Woods Canyon Lake is about 2 miles further north.

• 26 family camping units with campfire grills and picnic tables
• Tents, trailers and motorhomes up to 32 feet long
• Drinking water, toilet & garbage facilities available.
• Paved roads
• Campground Hosts on site.

Other notes:

• Concessionaire operated
• Campground is laid out in a cul-de-sac design
• Gas, telephones, and groceries are available at Forest Lakes, 9 miles to the east.
• Groceries are also available at Woods Canyon Store.
• The nearest full service community is Payson, about 34 miles west via Highway 260.
