To Re-Use My Content

I'm in the process of open sourcing a lot of this project. That means virtually all of the photos on this web site are being made available for folks to re-use under the terms of the Creative Commons Attribution-Share Alike 3.0 Unported License. This means that you, my reader(s), will be able to use many of my photos in your own websites, etc. under license (ie: with no copyright infringement problem) as long as you attribute the photos that you use to sangres.com.

The text on Sangres.com is entirely a result of my own research and experience. The story with photos and images, however, is different on all my pages, but if you look at the comments at the bottom of each page, the reality is usually spelled out. Photos from the National Forest Service, National Park Service, Bureau of Land Management and US Fish & Wildlife Service are virtually always in the public domain and reusable by anyone. Sometimes they ask for a little more attribution (the photographer's name, etc.) and I try to give it to them. Some photos are used under Fair Use Doctrine: those are the photos on some pages that are not mentioned among the attributions at the bottom of the page and I don't offer a licensing mechanism for them as they are not mine (although I probably need to sort out how to attribute them anyway).

The ideal form of attribution looks something like this:
